For the Minion Twinkie cupcakes, we cut the Twinkies in half and set them on top of the icing on the cupcake (thank goodness Twinkies made a comeback). I used food coloring to make the icing blue. The eyes (for both the cupcakes and marshmallows) were pre-made candy eyes that were store bought. And we used a black icing tube that had a skinny tip to draw the glasses, hair, and mouth.
The kids had such a blast! We BBQ'd first, watched "Despicable Me", made the Minion treats, and then the kids went outside and played. They really wore each other out (and me too)!
We had this party "just because", but it would perfect to do for when "Despicable Me 2" comes out on DVD or for a themed birthday party.
