Hall Bathroom Makeover: The Reveal

Hello and Happy New Year!  How quickly time flies, right?  This past holiday season was a busy one for me, but I managed to complete some projects - just didn't get a chance to share yet.   And this month I'll be busy & stressed at my job, so I'm hoping that doesn't get in the way of projects I'd like to get started on.  At least I have some completed projects to share with you soon.  ;)

So, now for the hall bathroom reveal - FINALLY!  The bathroom was finished since before Thanksgiving and I added a few final touches in the last few of weeks.  I have one more project planned for it, but not sure when I'll get around to it, so for now I've officially called it done.  D-o-n-e!  Bada-bing, bada-boom!
I already shared the demopaintbaseboardsfloor tilevanity & faucet.  Just click on the links if you want to see the progress.

I've had the idea for quite some time to add floating shelves in this bathroom.  I got these at Home Depot for about $13 each.  The candle, jar for q-tips & cotton balls, & basket were all items that I already had & previously were able to fit on the old vanity countertop, but found their new homes on the shelves.  I was also able to include a picture I took at Epcot Center at Walt Disney World.

As you can see in the collage of the "before, during & after", the candle is lavender - it went really well when I had the purple shower curtain up, but since I changed it to the white waffle curtain, I covered it with some scrapbook paper (harlequin? diamond?).

The vanity set included this matching mirror.  I probably hung it a tad too low, but it's fine for now.

Across from the toilet, I hung my coral picture from a frame that I updated.  Also, due to the plumbing, the vanity cannot be pushed all the way to the corner against both walls, so it sits about 4 inches away from the wall now.  Because of this, I couldn't put the toilet paper holder on the side of the vanity cabinet without feeling cramped.  I ended up buying this toilet paper stand.

This is before I changed out the shower curtain, but I have plans for a little somethin' that would go above the towel bar (that's the one last project I'm planning).  The 2 towel bars & the hand towel ring were from the previous homeowners - they are decent, so I left them there.  Once this is no longer my main bathroom that is used, I may take them down and replace them with hooks instead.

Ta da!  It's soooo much brighter in here and not so 80s!  I love it!

I've also posted a source list and how I painted the ceiling & cleaned the fan.
