Seashell Canvas

Lately, I've been mostly doing major projects, so I decided to take a break and do a quick crafty project.
I had a couple of these small canvases in my stash, so I grabbed some of my Martha Stewart craft paint (color = Cloud).  I ended up only brushing on 1 coat - some of the white from the canvas poked through giving it a dry-brushed look.  I also made sure to paint around the edges.

Using some extra seashells leftover from other projects, I just hot glued them on the front of the canvases.

I thought they were a little plain like that, so I hot glued jute rope around the edges.

There's all kinds of texture going on with these canvases, which I love!  And the great thing about this project?  I used supplies that I already had on hand, so it was freeeee!

  3. I love this so simple and sweet. I have a shell display/ gallery wall. I like the idea of incorporating shells into a space. It brings such fun to it. Love the addition of the rope.
